As many already know, Newzbin2 is a venerable Usenet indexing/search engine site that has been around, in one iteration or another, for over 5 years. After an initial shut down a few years back, it returned under new management. Many wondered if it would be able to further the technological accomplishments of its predecessor, or merely lay idle. Well in response to a potential blockage that threatens the ability of UK residents to access this site, Newzbin2 has developed an app to combat this potential threat. Check it out here.

"We are pleased to announce the first Newzbin2 client software. This is targetted at UK users who are likely to get blocked in October. This first version is a bit rushed and so not very polished. As time goes by we shall improve it and add features. There is no help & precious little explanation but we’ll answer questions in the comments."
